CARING FOR YOUNG EYES

We recommend regular eye exams from the age of at 4 years old, if not sooner. If you have any concerns before this, please do make and appointment as we can test eyes from as young as 12 months.

Regular eye exams as your child grows, helps us keep a close eye on the development of their vision as well as monitoring their eye health to identify any concerns as early as possible. By catching any concerns earlier, any treatment required is likely to be more successful.

Problems with vision can mean difficulty seeing the board or reading at school, which can quickly develop into boredom, disruptive behaviour and even a lack of interest in education altogether. It's often that your child might not be aware they have an issue with their vision and they may not tell you so a visit to a qualified Optometrist is the best way to ensure your child's vision is healthy.

Children are often entitled to a free NHS eye test. If you are unsure or want to know more, please contact us.
